Tony is an accredited mediator and arbitrator in Indonesia and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb). He is also a Fellow of the Singapore Institute of Arbitrators (FSIArb). Tony has also been admitted as a Fellow of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (FAIADR).

Tony sits on the panel of approved mediators and arbitrators of domestic and international dispute resolution institutions among others the Asian International Arbitration Center (AIAC – formerly known as the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration (KLRCA), the Indonesian Commodities Arbitration Body (BAKTI), the Indonesia National Board of Arbitration (BANI), and the Conflict Resolution Unit (CRU) of the Indonesia Business Council for Sustainable Development (IBCSD). In addition, Tony is currently serving as a Member of Panel of Arbitrators of the Singapore Chamber of Maritime Arbitration (SCMA), and acted as a foreign representative for the Singapore International Commercial Court.


Tony has more than 20 years’ standing as a legal counsel with extensive experience and expertise in Commercial Dispute Resolution (both in Indonesia and overseas); Bankruptcy and Corporate Restructuring; Environment and Natural Resources. Tony is also one of the few legal practitioners in Indonesia who is qualified as both capital market legal consultant and tax court attorney.

Secretary General
  John Pattiwael, S.H., together with Jhony Mazmur William Manurung, S.H. is the Managing Partner and one of the founders of John, Jhony & Partners (Attorneys at Law) (2017). Throughout his career as a lawyer, John has practiced litigation since 2005 as a public defender at Mawar Saron Legal Aid Institution and being trusted as the Director since 2009 until he completed his appointment in 2017.

He also gained extensive experience as Senior Associate at Hotma Sitompoel & Associates (2008-2017). In pursuing his dedication to human rights & juvenile justice, he has been entrusted to represent Republic of Indonesia as speaker on International forums: 8th Australia Community Support Organization (ACSO) International Criminal Justice Conference (Melbourne 2015),

3rd Peace & Conflict Resolution Conference (Bangkok 2016) and Side event on the 34th Session of the UN Human Rights Council (Geneva 2017). His writings have also been incorporated in the publication: “Promoting Restorative Justice for Children” (pg. 25, box. 15) reported to the UN General Assembly Meeting in New York (2013) by the Special Representative of the Secretary General of the United Nations on Violence against Children.
